Be Bright Be Seen
Oakridge children have been learning the importance of being bright in the darkness. We have been promoting the Be Bright Be Seen campaign. The children have been learning the dangers of walking around the streets at night without reflective clothing.
JRSOs lead an assembly on being bright and introduced the campaign.
The children learnt about being bright in class and took part in a competition to make a poster or a poem of the importance of being bright and being seen. Well done to our winners!
Oakridge School would like to thank the Co-operative Funeral Care in Beaconsfield for the Be Bright Be Seen Badges that they donated for every child in the school! Children should wear these badges on the outside of their coats so that they are reflective in the dark.
The children took part in a mufti day to encourage them to wear reflective and bright clothing. Lots of children bought reflective jackets (from Sainsburys). We would like children to continue to wear these jackets while the mornings and evenings are still very dark. The response was fantastic - Thank you to everyone who took part. Well done to those children who were the Brightest in their class!
Don't forget ....
