September 2016: Paul Lyalls is an author of funny poetry for children. He delivered workshops at Oakridge School this term with Years 1 to 6. We were very fortunate to have the opportunity to learn how to write in an imaginative and interesting way. We used our own experiences to write some fantastic poems. Ask your children to share these with you; we are sure they will make you laugh, too!
During the day the children talked to Paul Lyalls and asked him some brilliant questions about his poems and who and what inspires him.
Through these sessions our children explored rhyme, rhythm, expressive language and performance.
