This term the children will be taking turns to visit Forest School, on a Monday. They will be learning all about their environment and enjoying playing outside. Please make sure you send your children in with suitable clothing and wellies.
Panthers will be going swimming every Wednesday, and so need their swimming kit in school.
How to practise times tables at home.
On Monday 22nd May 2017, Year 3 and 4 children ran a times table maths workshop for their parents. The children were showing their parents the different times tables activities they do at school and those that could be replicated at home. These activities were in used to support the introduction of a new Mathematics challenge ‘cracking times tables’ aimed at developing quicker recall of the multiplication facts (times tables).
We received a lot of positive feedback from parents:
'Wonderful ideas. It was wonderful to see the children at work in the classroom.’ Written by a year 4 parent
The new National Curriculum from 2014 states that: ‘B the end of year 4, pupils should have memorised their multiplication tables up to and including the 12 multiplication table.’

Thank you to all those that came and took part!
