EYFS - Home Learning for clinically vulnerable children

Oakridge School Staff - We're All In This Together!

School is now open for pupils in Reception. The class teachers are now back in class, full time, teaching pupils so will be unable to respond to your emails. Some pupils have started to attend school again from Thursday 4th June. If you would like your Reception child to come back to school please contact the school office. We require 48 hours notice. Thank you.

The work provided on this page is for clinically vulnerable Reception pupils who have to stay at home due to medical needs. You will find Maths and Literacy activities posted each week. We encourage you to practise phonics by using the Sound Mats and Tricky Words provided. Also please practise your phonics in the 'Literacy' tasks set.

Phonics Support - Buttons and Bars

Mrs Atkinson shows you how to put 'Buttons and Bars' under words. These are also sometimes called 'Dots and Lines'. This video may help you in some of your home learning tasks.

How to pronounce the sounds we learn in Phonics - A guide for adults

Tricky Words - In Reception we have been working on learning these words by sight. They cannot be blended.

Counting 1:1 with Mrs Barnard.

Your child may be able to 'chant' to 10 or 20 or perhaps higher but do they fully understand the value of numbers? Here is a simple counting activity to help your child count out items carefully.

Other Learning Opportunities. Why not have a go at some of these activities too!!

Stories in English read by the author. These are lovely to watch. We recommend everyone has a go! https://www.storylineonline.net/library/
