Week commencing 22nd February 2021
Hello Owls and Badgers, over the next 2 weeks we will be revisiting the work we did last term to ensure we have understood fully.
You will find a session that looks at food chains and one on animal habitats that you will need to complete.
Please look through the presentations to help you.
Thursday 11th February 2021
Good afternoon our little scientists. We hope you are enjoying the topic of habitats.
Today please work through the presentation which is looking at how certain animals are naturally adapted to live in different habitats. They really can only live in the places that they are made by nature to live in.
Please cut out the pictures or draw the animals and plants in the correct environments.
When you have done this work then please write some sentences to explain your understanding of why animals need to live in certain environments.
Thursday 4th February 2021
Good afternoon Owls and Badgers, today we will continue looking at animals and their habitats.
Please work through the presentation which will go through where animals live, today we are focusing on an oak tree and you may be surprised how many animals live there.
Once you have cut out the pictures and sorted them we would like you to write some sentences to show your understanding of how one habitat can be used by many different types of animals.
Thursday 28th January 2021
Good afternoon Owls and Badgers. Today we will be looking at what animals eat and how some animals eat each other.
As you know some animals and humans eat vegetables, vegetarians, some meat, herbivores and those that eat both like most of us are called omnivores.
The presentation will explain about food chains and you will learn about these and create your own with the pictures attached or your own drawings.
Thursday 21st January 2021
Good afternoon Owls and Badgers.
Today we will be looking at living things, this is very important that you understand that it is not only humans and animals that are alive!
Please take a look through the presentation and you will also need to look in your gardens or outside if you are able to go for a walk to look for living things, things that were once a living thing and finally things that have never been alive.
We hope you have fun searching and then sorting the words or pictures under the titles given.
