Forest School

Oakridge work with Chiltern Forest School, who is an active member of the Forest School Association and follow their guiding principles and codes of good practice to embrace the true ethos of Forest School.

Chiltern Forest School are experienced at planning and delivering inspirational programmes based on the children’s particular needs and the settings desired outcomes. They have a thorough understanding of the national curriculum and ensure that our programmes and events link to it in a fun and adventurous way, whilst at the same time embracing the holistic approach of the true Forest School ethos. Chiltern Forest School offers all pupils opportunities to develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on experience within the outdoor environment of the school grounds.

Each class will experience forest schools once a week for half a term on a rotation so every class gets the hands on experience.
